Brogan
is a medium height, lodging resistant version of the tall SDSU HRSW variety
Briggs. Brogan has the same general disease reaction as Briggs.
However, it is more susceptible to bacterial blight than Briggs, possibly
due to it's erect, uniform canopy. Brogan is 2-3 days later to head
than Briggs but fills very rapidly. Brogan is a free-threshing variety
with good shatter resistance. Brogan is a great choice for farmers who
like Briggs but don't like lodging. |
