Granite is a very easy
threshing, high yielding spring wheat that is well adapted to the growing
environments of Central and Eastern North Dakota. Granite is
moderately susceptible to Fusarium Head Scab and leaf diseases. This
variety has extremely good straw and stand ability that keeps the plant
upright under most conditions. Granite responds well to intensive
management and will produce very good yields with exceptional test weights
and protein. In areas where scab and leaf rust are problematic, this
variety requires a foliar fungicide to reach its potential. |
